New Scania fire engines for Nottinghamshire Fire & Rescue Service

Nottinghamshire Fire & Rescue Service have taken delivery of & put into service eight Scania P274DB4x2MNB front line water pump & rescue tender fire engines. The vehicles, supplied by Keltruck, are now based around the county of Nottinghamshire at Newark, Sutton, Carlton, West Bridgford & Nottingham city stations.

The brigade has also ordered another eleven P274DB4x2MNB for delivery in 2008/09 along with a driver training vehicle.

This is the first time in their long history of operating fire engines that Nottinghamshire Fire & Rescue Service have come away from their previous supplier, Dennis. The main reasons for the switch were the Scania product's durability, reliability and specification which more than meets the needs of a modern fire fighting & rescue service. Also key to the decision was Keltruck's network of service locations in & around Nottinghamshire, supporting the local fire stations with a top quality aftersales service.
