How do I apply?

Applicants should:

Complete an application form – one of the personal references should be from the applicant's school who will be able to provide us with information on GCSE expectations.

Enclose a 300–400 word explanation of why they would like to work in the heavy vehicle trade and why they are particularly suited.

Enclose a covering letter in their own handwriting.

Timetable: The closing dates for applications is June/July

After initial interviews the short-listed candidates will take psychometric tests in numeracy, mechanical reasoning, reading and comprehension supervised by Scania Great Britain.

Second interviews will take place by arrangement to avoid any examination dates and we expect to make offers (conditional on exam success) during July/August.

Keltruck Limited has a modern apprenticeship opportunity for a 16/17 year old who wants to work with heavy trucks and who has a keen interest in vehicle body repair processes.

The apprenticeship will be based at the Accident Repair Centre (Bodyshop) in Newark (click here for details of the location of the Newark depot) and apprentices will attend a local college.

The successful apprentice will gain Competences City and Guilds 398 Parts 1/2 in Vehicle Body Repair.

Acceptance onto the apprenticeship scheme is dependent upon the applicant achieving ‘C’ grade passes in Maths and English. All applicants will have to demonstrate full commitment and motivation to the course.
