The new R-series from Scania is characterised by a more distinctive exterior combined with a new cab interior featuring top-flight ergonomics and allow great potential for customisation. The driver will also experience the next generation of the new Scania Opticruise automated gearchanging system. And above all, the all-new Scania Driver Support system coaching the driver in real time.
Sharper looks
Improved looks, improved productivity and better fuel economy. With its new styling, Scania’s top-of-the-line R-series gets even sharper. The interior gives the driver better sleeping comfort and further improvements in the driver station.
Reducing environmental impact
An automatic clutch, an electro-hydraulic clutch control and a whole new strategy for gear selection – these are the main ingredients in the new Scania Opticruise system which helps in reducing the environmental impact of the vehicle.
Coaching the driver
The Scania Driver Support system coaches drivers to make driving safer and more economical while reducing its environmental impact. The system, standard equipment in most Scania tractor units, assesses a driver’s skills in real time and gives detailed hints how they can be improved.
