Keltruck help local children's charity
Barnardo’s run, “Time For Me” project, Barrack Lane, Halesowen, have taken delivery of their newly refurbished minibus, courtesy of Keltruck Head Office’s bodyshop in West Bromwich.
With the minibus in operation, dozens of children and young people affected by parental alcohol and drug misuse in the Dudley area will be able to get out and enjoy themselves.
The minibus was restored in Keltruck’s bodyshop and finished with a new complimenting paint job in the West Bromwich state-of-the-art Dalby “Cook & Bake” paint shop.
Neil Vazey, General Manager of Keltruck West Bromwich, said: “Since we were given the chance to hear the extraordinary stories and experiences first hand from the young people Barnardo’s support at Time For Me, Keltruck are absolutely delighted to be given the chance to help support such a worthwhile local charity.”
Estelle Hamblett from Barnardo’s Time For Me, said: “This really is a fantastic donation for us. Transport is one of the biggest expenses and can be a real problem. Our service is often the only time some of the children we support get to let their hair down and forget their problems, as well as meet other people their own age that understand the situation. This really will make such a difference and we’re very grateful.”
Last year, Time For Me won the “2009 HFK – Help for Kids award” and were invited to a party in London by Gordon Brown.
