Major investment underway at Keltruck
Chris Kelly, Founder & Chairman, has announced the expansion of the company's flagship site at junction 1 of the M5.
Announcing the acquisition of the former Co-operative Dairy site on Kenrick Way, Mr Kelly said: "The addition of a further three acres to our West Bromwich site, taking us up to ten acres, was much needed and has come at the right time for the company. The existing site is extremely busy with new and used truck sales activity along with a plethora of aftersales activity including repair & maintenance for trucks, buses & coaches, accident repairs, paintshop and, not least, our highly successful Scania truck recycling facility which has seen unprecedented exports over the last 12 months.
"We have big plans for the future of the expanded site with major investment in further capacity and facilities which will lead to the creation of new local jobs. In a period of recession and a climate of doom & gloom this is very good news indeed and demonstrates our confidence for the medium to long-term, once the present national difficulties have been overcome."
The new plans follow the recent investment of £½m in an extension to the workshop and £¼m in opening a brand new, 60ft x 18ft, state-of-the-art, Dalby 'cook & bake' paint shop at the West Bromwich depot.
Keltruck were advised by commercial agents Andrew Dixon & Co of Telford and Keltruck's legal representatives were Enoch Evans & Co of Walsall.
